Description

Huntly House is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of roughly-faced rubble stone with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance, on the right-hand side, features pilasters with capitals and a basket-arched lintel, leading to a six-panel door with the upper two panels glazed. A garage entrance, dating from the 1960s, is located on the extreme left-hand side. The windows are arranged as two on the ground floor and three on the upper floor, each with three lights. The ground floor windows have moulded surrounds and flat-faced mullions, though the ground floor window to the left of the entrance has 20th-century mullions. The upper floor windows have casements and fixed lights. There are ridge stacks located on the right-hand and left-hand and right-of-centre sides of the roof.
