Description
Woodside is a farmhouse dated 1742, as indicated by the inscription above the entrance. It features painted rubble walls and a graduated greenslate roof, with 20th-century brick chimney stacks, one of which is roughcast. The building is two storeys high and has five bays. The entrance consists of an off-centre plank door set in a painted chamfered surround, topped by an inscribed lintel. To the left of the entrance, there are two flat stone-mullioned windows, one of which has had its mullion removed, and a single-light window that is a 19th-century addition. On the right side of the ground floor, there is a three-light flat stone-mullioned window. The farmhouse also has various outshuts from the 18th and 19th centuries, some constructed of brick.
