Description
Long Clough Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1725, as indicated by the inscription on the door lintel. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a 20th-century tiled roof. The building has a three-bay, two-storey layout with a single-depth plan and includes quoins. The main entrance has a door with a chamfered surround and a dated lintel, along with another door that has a square-cut surround.
On the ground floor, there are two-light flat-faced mullion windows and six-light and three-light chamfered mullion windows, although two and one mullion are missing respectively. The first-floor windows, which date from the late 18th century, consist of four, six, and four lights with flat-faced mullions. The farmhouse features coped gables with kneelers, as well as gable and ridge chimney stacks. The rear of the building is mostly blind, except for one three-light flat-faced mullion window. The left gable is rendered.
