Description

Greenways is a house built in the early 19th century, originally serving as an estate house for the Briscos of Crofton Hall. It is constructed of red and calciferous sandstone rubble and features a graduated hipped slate roof with brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with single-bay wings that have hip roofs, creating a polygonal facade and a squared rear. The entrance includes a top-glazed six-panel door set in a pointed stone surround. The windows are two-light casements with diamond top lights, all featuring intersecting glazing bars within pointed stone arches.
