Description

Crofton Bridge is a road bridge built in the early 19th century, likely funded by the Brisco family from the nearby Crofton Hall. It is constructed of rusticated red sandstone ashlar and features a single segmental arch made of V-jointed voussoirs. The upper structure has channelled joints, a string course, and pilasters, along with a low parapet. The bridge was bypassed by a modern road in the early 1960s and is located partly in Westward Civil Parish.
