Description

These are two late 18th-century buildings, 68 and 70 Kirkgate, forming part of a wider group of buildings including Nos 13, 17-25 (odd), 31-55 (odd), 38, 46-86 (even), 47A and Kirkgate House. The buildings are roughcast and have slate roofs. Number 68 has a modern round-arched doorway with a Gothic traceried fanlight, and two sash windows on each floor. Number 70 has two round-arched doorways, one leading to a rear yard, also with Gothic traceried fanlights, two small-paned 19th-century shop windows on the ground floor, and two modern windows above.
