Description
These are two buildings, numbers 72 and 74 Kirkgate, constructed in 1729. They are finished with roughcast or stucco rendering and have pantile roofing. The buildings are two storeys high. Number 72 features a panelled door set within a plain stone frame, above which is a lintel dated 1729. It also has two sash windows with vertical glazing bars on the ground floor and three 12-paned sash windows above. Number 74 has a panelled door, one square sash window with vertical glazing bars on the ground floor and two 16-paned sash windows above. The buildings are part of a wider group that includes numbers 13, 17 to 25 (odd), 31 to 55 (odd), 38, 46 to 86 (even), numbers 47A and Kirkgate House.
