Description
Nos 41 and 43 Kirkgate, along with their cobbled forecourt, are a two-story building dating from the 18th century. The front is rendered in scored stucco with projecting stone quoins. The building is lower than Nos 37 and 39. There are two panelled doors, each set within a 19th-century moulded architrave. The ground floor has three sash windows, and there are five sash windows above, all with plain stone frames, and a stone band at the upper sill level. The cobbles of the forecourt run the length of Nos 27 to 55, and are open to the pavement without divisions or railings. The building forms a group with Nos 13, 17 to 25 (odd), 31 to 55 (odd), 38, 46 to 86 (even), Nos 47A and Kirkgate House.
