NY 25 NE BOWNESS Easton

6/25 Easton Hall and adjoining 11/4/67 outbuildings (previously listed as Easton Farmhouse and and Hodgson's Farmhouse)

Farmhouse and outbuilding. Dated 1724 over entrance with initials T. & B.H. (Hodgson). Incised cement render on chamfered plinth with raised V-jointed quoins; graduated greenslate roof, rendered end chimney stacks. Outbuilding of squared and coursed red sandstone rubble with steeply pitched sandstone slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays; outbuilding to left 2 storeys, 2 bays, of lower roof line. 3-panel double doors with glazed fanlight in bolection architrave, decorated keystone and frieze, swan-neck pediment with inscription and date. 2 semicircular steps to entrance. Rear wall of outbuilding: plank door in chamfered stone surround with lintel inscribed DARY (sic). Small, chamfered- surround window to right and plank door in C19 plain surround. Upper floor loft door and casement with glazing bars. Front wall is blank. Lean-to extension to front of outbuilding is not of interest.
