Description

Easton Hall and the adjoining outbuildings are a farmhouse and outbuilding complex dated 1724, featuring the initials T. & B.H. (Hodgson) above the entrance. The farmhouse has incised cement render on a chamfered plinth with raised V-jointed quoins, and a graduated greenslate roof with rendered end chimney stacks. The outbuilding, constructed of squared and coursed red sandstone rubble, has a steeply pitched sandstone slate roof.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with five bays, while the outbuilding to the left is also two storeys but has two bays and a lower roof line. The main entrance features three-panel double doors with a glazed fanlight set in a bolection architrave, complete with a decorated keystone and frieze, and a swan-neck pediment that bears the inscription and date. There are two semicircular steps leading up to the entrance.

On the rear wall of the outbuilding, there is a plank door in a chamfered stone surround with a lintel inscribed "DARY" (sic), along with a small window to the right that has a chamfered surround and another plank door in a plain 19th-century surround. The upper floor has a loft door and a casement window with glazing bars. The front wall of the outbuilding is blank, and a lean-to extension at the front is not of interest.
