Description

Highfield is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. It features English garden wall bond brickwork with painted raised V-jointed quoins and a graduated greenslate roof, topped with end brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance consists of a 20th-century door set within a pilastered surround, complete with panelled reveals, impost blocks, and a keystone. The windows are 2-pane sashes, positioned under flat brick arches that also have keystones. There is a later extension to the left of the original structure, which is not of special interest.
