Description

Dykesfield is a house built in 1748, with extensions added in the mid-19th century. The original structure is covered in painted stucco and features a stone parapet. It has graduated greenslate roofs, while the extensions include bargeboards and red and calciferous sandstone ashlar chimney stacks. The house is two storeys tall and has four bays, with flanking extensions that are also two storeys and one bay each. The entrance features a panelled door set in a plain stone surround, leading to a prostyle Doric porch with an ogee-shaped pediment and urn finials. The windows are three-pane sash types with painted architraves, while the extensions have double and triple sash windows in plain stone surrounds.
