Description

The Hill is a late 17th-century building, with a later 18th-century extension, that was originally three houses and is now combined as one. The walls are painted rendered, concealing clay on the left and cobbles on the right. The earlier part of the building has a roof of Welsh slates, with lower courses of sandstone slates. The later part has graduated green slates. There are brick chimney stacks, one dating to the 20th century. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The left-hand end bay was formerly part of a demolished farmhouse, which has a lower roofline. There are two 6-panel doors and sash windows with glazing bars, set in plain painted stone surrounds. The interior of the older part includes one pair of full crucks.
