Description
Thethwaite is a farmhouse with an adjoining barn, believed to date from 1768, as indicated by the coat of arms above the entrance, which is now covered by painted render. The farmhouse features a graduated greenslate roof with coped gables and kneelers, along with a stone chimney stack on the left and a brick chimney stack on the right.
The building is two stories high and has two bays, with a top-glazed panelled door set in a painted stone surround on the cross-passage. On the right side, there are double 2-pane sash windows on both floors, while the left side has 2-pane sash windows, all framed in painted stone surrounds.
The adjoining barn has cement rendered walls and a Welsh slate roof. It includes plank doors for ground floor entrances and a loft, as well as slit vents. The outbuilding to the left is not of interest.
