Description
This is a barn located to the north-east of Bellbridge Farmhouse, dated 1774, featuring a weathered inscription. It is constructed of mixed sandstone rubble and has a graduated sandstone slate roof. The barn is long and low, with a central cart entrance that has an alternate-block surround beneath a segmental arch. There are slit vents on two levels. To the right, there is a doorway with a dated lintel and a 20th-century loft above it. A 20th-century brick extension to the left includes a late 17th-century square gate pier with a ball finial built into its rear wall, which resembles another gate pier located in front of the farmhouse, although the extension itself is otherwise unremarkable. Additional brick extensions and a further 20th-century extension at the rear are also of no particular interest.
