Description
Greenfoot and the former barn is a house and former barn dated 1715, with an inscription over the entrance, and incorporates an earlier house dated 1687. The building features whitewashed render on a chamfered plinth and has a graduated greenslate roof with painted-render chimney stacks. The earlier range is constructed of whitewashed sandstone rubble and has roofs made of Welsh slate, greenslate, and sandstone slate.
The structure is two stories high and consists of five bays, with a double-span house and an adjoining former two-story house to the right, which has a barn extension at right angles, creating an overall L-shape. The entrance features a top-glazed six-panel door in an eared architrave beneath a broken segmental pediment. The windows are casement style, set in original painted chamfered surrounds. The former house and barn have four blocked doorways that have been replaced with 20th-century casement windows, along with a small blocked fire window. The rear of the barn includes a 20th-century garage door, while other entrances consist of plank doors and lofts, one of which has a reused dated lintel.
