Description
Green Lane House is a house dated 1729, with a later extension from around the 1850s. It is built from squared and coursed red sandstone, set on a chamfered plinth, and features V-jointed quoins, a string course, and a moulded eaves cornice. The roof is made of graduated greenslate, and there are ashlar chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a lower two-storey, single-bay extension to the left. The entrance features a 20th-century door within a heavily moulded round-arched surround, complete with a carved leaf keystone and impost blocks, as well as a cornice supported by console brackets. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, set in stone architraves, while the extension has sash windows with glazing bars in stone surrounds. The extension to the right, which was previously listed with this house, is now listed separately.
