The house features painted brick walls with stone dressings and a roof made of stone-slate and slate, topped with coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The entrance, which has a plain stone surround, is located in a two-storey brick barn that is now a holiday cottage and features 20th-century windows, a door, and a garage door. The threshing barn is positioned at right angles to the house and has a large cart entrance. Its walls are constructed of mixed sandstone and cobbles, and it has a stone-slate roof.
