Description

Lanerton is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from calciferous sandstone sourced from the nearby Roman Wall and was raised in the 19th century. The roof is made of graduated green slate and features stepped gables, along with yellow brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. A 19th-century gabled porch includes a plank door set in a pointed arch. The windows are two-light chamfered mullioned windows, with those on the ground floor likely being 19th-century replacements. There is a single-storey 19th-century extension to the right, which has a Welsh slate roof. The listing does not include any outbuildings.
