Description
Anguswell is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from dressed red sandstone in large blocks, which has been whitewashed, and features a Welsh slate roof with coped gables and kneelers, along with stone chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance is framed by a plain chamfered surround from the late 18th century, with a 20th-century door. The windows are 20th-century single-pane sash types, set within late 18th-century chamfered surrounds, likely replacing earlier smaller windows. To the right of the entrance, there are filled late 18th-century windows on both the ground and upper floors. There is a small single-storey extension to the left, which has a 20th-century glazed door and a small casement window with a chamfered surround and glazing bars. The width of the farmhouse has been increased by a single-storey out-shot at the rear, which shares a common roof with the main structure.
