Description

The Wordsworth Hotel, formerly known as the Appletree Hotel, is an early 19th-century building on Main Street. It is constructed with a pebbledash finish, quoins, and a slate roof. The building is three storeys high and includes a segmental arched coach entrance with a panelled door, as well as two sash windows on the ground floor. There are four sash windows on each of the upper floors. The building is part of a group of listed buildings on the South Side of Main Street.
