Description

The Bush Hotel dates to the 19th century. It is built with a cement rendering over stone, and has three storeys, covered by a slate roof. A stone band runs along the sill level of the first floor. A depressed archway provides access for coaches, located on the right-hand side. The main hotel entrance features moulded decoration, including a trefoil cornice moulding. There are two sash windows on the ground floor, and three on each of the upper floors, with a single window positioned over the archway. All windows, except those on the top floor, have moulded architraves incorporating keystones and wings. The building is finished with end pilasters and a cornice supported by modillions. The listed buildings on the South Side of Main Street form a group.
