Description

The National Westminster Bank is an early 19th-century building located on Main Street. It has three storeys and is stuccoed over stone, featuring quoins and a heavy cornice. The ground floor has a modern stone front for the bank. On the first floor, there are three sash windows set in moulded stone frames, each with wings and keystones. The top floor also has three sash windows in moulded stone frames, complete with sills and consoles above that support the top cornice. The right-hand return side includes a rear wing that has a warehouse door on the top floor, which is covered by a small gable. The National Westminster Bank, along with Nos 52 to 56 (even), forms a group.
