Description

This is a farmhouse dating to 1794, located in Kirklinton. The initials APM appear on a raised, oval porch, inscribed on the lintel stone. The construction is of hammer-dressed red sandstone, resting on a chamfered plinth, with pilaster quoins. The roof is slate, and there are stone and brick chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two stories high and has three bays. A four-panel door is set within a plain stone surround, above which sits an oblong glazed fanlight. The windows are two-pane sashes, also with raised stone surrounds. The listing does not include the farm buildings.
