Description
Sikeside is a farmhouse dated 1699, featuring the initials W.G. (William Graham) on the lintel. The building has rendered walls and a graduated slate roof, along with rendered chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The 20th-century glazed door has a chamfered surround and displays the date. The upper floor has sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor features enlarged 20th-century windows. To the right, there is a single-storey, two-bay extension with a Welsh slate roof, which includes one 20th-century casement window in an enlarged opening and one 19th-century two-pane sash window. William and Janet Graham were residents in 1688, when they donated land for the nearby Friends' Meeting House, suggesting that the house may be older than the date stone indicates.
