Description
Eshton Grange is a farmhouse built in 1753, constructed from squared rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and features two windows on each floor. It has quoins and gutter brackets. The doorway is framed by a simple pilaster doorcase that includes a frieze and cornice, along with a plaque in a cyma surround displaying the initials A C M and the date. The windows are all sashed with glazing bars, set in plain stone surrounds with projecting sills. On the left-hand return, there is an oculus with a plaque above it that reads I P R P R O P B 1750. At the rear, there is a three-light double chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor. The house has gable stacks. Although the interior has been altered, it previously featured a large elliptical fireplace.
