Description

The railings on either side of Eshton Road, located to the west of Eshton Hall, are likely from the early 19th century. They consist of a series of bollards and connecting rails that extend for 400 meters on both sides of the public road leading to Eshton, starting from the junction with Flasby Road and reaching the gate piers of Eshton Hall. Each bollard is made of cast iron and designed to resemble a Doric column with a Greek capital, standing on an octagonal base.
