Description

The garden wall located to the southeast of Cardew Lodge was built in 1889. It is constructed of red and calciferous sandstone rubble and runs along the east side of the garden. The wall features stepped buttresses and arrow slits at regular intervals, topped with a battlemented parapet. Other garden walls in the area are not of special interest. This wall is listed partly for its group value with the gateway and Cardew Lodge.
