Description
The garden wall, located on the east side of the garden to the custodian's lodge and the adjoining section to the south, dates from around 1900 but may have origins from the medieval or post-medieval period. It features medieval masonry and brickwork, with 20th-century coping. The wall is constructed from squared chalk and limestone, chalk rubble, and brick, topped with 20th-century concrete coping. The section to the south represents the west end of the north wall that encloses the orchard. This wall is included for its group value.
