Description

This garden wall, along with its gates and gate piers, extends westwards from the north-west corner of Caradoc Court. It is possibly from the 17th century, with additions made in the mid-19th century. The structure is built from large blocks of square sandstone and finely coursed sandstone rubble. The wall stretches approximately 50 yards west from the corner of Caradoc Court. The north elevation features gate piers with 19th-century gates located about 15 yards from Caradoc Court. The gate piers, which stand around ten feet high, are likely from the 17th century and have rusticated designs with friezes decorated with griffons. The wall is topped with gabled coping, and at the western end, there are a pair of 19th-century niches.
