Description
A lodge, later converted into a private house, was built in 1889 with subsequent additions. The construction combines calciferous and red sandstone, featuring string courses and a battlemented parapet. The roof is primarily graduated greenslate, with a flat roof over the tower, and a stone chimney stack. The lodge comprises a two-storey circular tower and a lower, single-bay two-storey wing to the right. The wing features a studded plank door set within a Tudor-style arch with a hood mould, and a cross slit vent to the right. Small attic openings are located below the eaves. Casement windows in the right end wall are set within chamfered stone surrounds. The tower has casement windows in lancet openings with hood moulds.
