G.V. II

House now Christian Holiday Centre. Early C19 for W.J.D. (Donald) with extensions inscribed and dated G.D. 1894 and J.C.P. (Parkin) 1924 and 1925. Painted snecked sandstone ashlar with eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins on chamfered plinth. Graduated greenslate roof with stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 5 bays with lower 2-storey, 4-bay extension to right and further C20 extensions to rear. Square-columned porch under entablature with paterae frieze. Glazed door with glazed side lights under fanlight with glazing bars forming initials WJD. Sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds. Extension has casement windows with glazing bars. Rear has blocked carriage entrance with date above. Shop window to left for Tourist Information Office. Rear extension has datestones on side walls. Ground floor 5-light stone-mullioned window and casement windows.
