Description
Orchard House is a house dated 1783, featuring the initials JWJ inscribed on the keystone. It has painted rendered walls, painted stone quoins and dressings, and a Welsh slate roof without chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high with two bays, and there is a two-storey, single-bay extension to the left. The front has a 20th-century top-glazed door surrounded by an alternate block surround with V-shaped joints and a flat arch with a large keystone. The flanking windows are 20th-century casements in their original surrounds; the left window is tripartite with a central round head, while the right window is a triple casement with a flat arch and a plain painted surround, featuring a round head above the central portion to mimic the arch on the left. Above, there is a sash window with glazing bars and a 20th-century casement to the left, both in original painted surrounds. The extension includes a plank door and two-pane sash windows in plain painted surrounds.
