Description

The gate piers and walls south of Castlesteads are made of calciferous ashlar sandstone and date from the 19th century. There are six piers featuring alternate blocks topped with pointed caps. A cast iron gate and a small section of iron speared railings are located between the piers, to the right of the gate. A serpentine-shaped low wall with chamfered coping connects the piers and terminates at additional piers.
