Description
High Crosshill is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed red sandstone, featuring painted V-jointed quoins on a chamfered plinth. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has coped gables, along with stone chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with a lower two-storey, single-bay wing to the right. The entrance consists of a panelled door beneath a glazed fanlight, framed by a pilastered surround with a pediment. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and are set in painted stone surrounds. The wing also has triple sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds. There is a brick extension to the left that is not of interest.
