Description
These are a row of four late 18th-century houses on Lowther Street, similar in style to numbers 39 to 42 but with simpler detailing. The houses are three storeys high and have a stuccoed exterior. Numbers 44 and 45 are identical, featuring inset doors within moulded surrounds, one sash window on the ground floor, and two sash windows on each of the upper floors. Number 46 has a panelled door leading up three steps, accompanied by a fanlight within a moulded doorcase and a detached pediment. The windows on each floor are arranged as a triple sash. Number 47 also has a panelled door leading up three steps, featuring a round-headed fanlight set within a round moulded arch supported by consoles, and two sash windows on each floor. Numbers 44 to 48 and 37 to 42 form a notable group.
