Description

Strand House, located at 48 Lowther Street, was built around 1730 and is situated at the northwest corner of Strand Street. The building has three storeys and is now covered in cement. It features a central doorway with a moulded opening, fluted Ionic pilasters, a dentilled cornice, and a pediment. There are three windows on each floor. The doorway is a re-used feature from 48 Church Street. Strand House is part of a group that includes Nos 44 to 48 and Nos 37 to 42, all of which are consecutive.
