Description

Barclays Bank, located at 26B Lowther Street, was built in 1814. The building features a shared architectural front with its neighbor, No 27. On the ground floor, there are Ionic columns, and the shop front at No 27 includes two large round arches—one serving as a shop window and the other as a yard entry. The first floor has five and three double windows set in round arches, while the top floor has single sash windows. The building is adorned with cornice bands. Nos 26B, 27, and 28 (Pack Horse Public House) are recognized as a group for their architectural significance.
