Description

39 to 42 Lowther Street are 18th-century houses located on the southwest side of Lowther Street, built in 1814. These stuccoed buildings rise three storeys and feature moulded doorcases accessed by three steps, with panelled doors, fanlights, and pediments. Number 39 has a triple sash window on each floor, while number 40 has one sash window on the ground floor and three on each upper floor. Number 41 features a triple sash on the ground floor and two single sashes on each upper floor. Number 42 has a triple sash window on the ground floor, an oriel window on the first floor, and a triple sash on the top floor. Numbers 37 to 42 and numbers 44 to 48 together form a group.
