Description
Gardener's Cottage, adjoining gateway, and outbuildings are located to the east of Cardew Lodge. This structure dates from 1889 and features mixed red and calciferous sandstone rubble. It includes two circular, two-storey towers that flank a rounded archway, all topped with battlemented parapets. The left tower has been converted into Gardener's Cottage. The towers have pointed entrances and lancet windows with hood moulds. The outbuildings next to the right tower have plank doors and glazed openings. A garden wall to the left is listed separately. This building is listed partly for its group value with Cardew Lodge.
