Description
Mains Farmhouse is a late 18th century farmhouse constructed from painted snecked ashlar, featuring painted V-jointed quoins. The building has a graduated greenslate roof with brick chimney stacks and stands two storeys high with three bays. The entrance is a 20th-century door set within an ornamented classical doorcase, which includes an eared architrave enriched with egg-and-dart detailing. On both floors, there are flanking double 20th-century steel casement windows, all within painted architraves. The rear wall showcases an interesting glazing bar staircase window along with additional 20th-century windows.
