Description

The stables, now used as a garage, date back to the 15th century and were altered in the 20th century. They are constructed of coursed squared limestone and ironstone, topped with a tile roof. The building is one storey high with a loft and consists of three bays. The central doorway features a four-centred moulded stone arch with jamb shafts that have octagonal capitals, leading to a plank door. To the left, there is a four-light stone-mullioned window with a moulded stone frame, and a similar window to the right has a moulded wood lintel. Additionally, there are two semi-circular stone-framed windows to the left. The gable ends are coped and include kneelers. The rear of the building has 20th-century garage doorways. The interior has not been inspected. To the left, there is a short wall and gatepier from the 17th century. The wall is made of squared coursed ironstone with stone coping, while the gatepier is constructed of ironstone ashlar and topped with a bottle-shaped finial.
