Description
The Kennels is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone and features a slate roof with brick stacks at either end. The building has a double-depth plan and is two stories high with a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a four-panel part-glazed door with an overlight, set within a gabled 19th-century porch. The ground and first floors have 20th-century cross windows with flat-arched heads. Architectural details include a plinth, quoins, and hollow-chamfered stone eaves. There are 19th and 20th-century extensions at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. The Kennels is located within the park of Wakefield Lodge.
