Description
Old Home Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a reed thatch roof and features brick end stacks on stone bases. The building has a 3-unit plan and is two stories high with a three-window range. There is a 20th-century door with sidelights to the right of center, and a three-light casement window to the left, along with a two-light casement window to the right. The first floor has two-light casements in eyebrow dormers, all with timber lintels. A two-story wing at the rear left is likely from the 18th century, accompanied by a single-story, one-unit extension from the 20th century. Inside, the farmhouse contains ogee stop-chamfered spine beams, some stop-chamfered joists, and two open fireplaces with chamfered bressumers. During renovation, copper half pennies dated 1744, 1754, and 1747 were discovered in the walls.
