Description
The Glebe House is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys plus an attic. A large 20th-century slate-roofed stone porch is located at the angle between the two ranges of the house.
The front of the house facing the street has 2-light casement windows with stop-chamfered lintels. The gable end of the projecting range has 3-light casements on both the ground and first floors, as well as a 2-light attic window. There is a 20th-century single-storey extension on the left side and a single-storey lean-to extension on the right, which has a datestone inscribed with "BA 1842."
Inside, the house features chamfered spine beams, a bolection-moulded corner fireplace, and a dog-leg staircase with turned balusters.
