Description

This building is a cottage located at 1 Lower Street in Pury End, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone and features a plain tile roof with brick stacks at each end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, displaying a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century plank door with a timber lintel, flanked by two-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors, all of which also have timber lintels. There is a plinth at the base of the structure, and a County Fire Insurance plaque is positioned above the door. To the left, there is a 20th-century lean-to extension. The interior has not been inspected.
