Description
The Nook is a cottage dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick featuring a grey brick vertical patterning, with the left bay made of plain brick that was likely added in the 19th century. The cottage has a thatched roof and includes a large brick chimney stack on the right gable and a smaller stack to the right of the center.
The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance, located in the second bay from the right, features a timber porch with a thatch roof and a four-panel door beneath a wooden lintel. To the right of the entrance is a three-light casement window set in an arched brick surround, with a similar window to the left. The left bay contains a two-light casement window. On the first floor, there is a blocked opening with a wooden lintel in the right bay, alongside a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel. The other first-floor windows are two-light casements, also with wooden lintels. The cottage is finished with a brick dentil cornice and has a rendered gable end on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
