Description
North House is a 17th-century cottage located on Rugby Road in Kilsby. The building features coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, with two additional bays added in the 19th century using brick. It has a slate roof and brick stacks, and is one storey high with an attic, comprising five bays in total.
The doorway is situated to the right of the center and has a moulded wood surround, a 20th-century timber hood supported by brackets, and a 20th-century door. To the left of the doorway is a one-light window with a stone surround, and to the right is a similar window with a wooden lintel. There are two three-light casement windows, and a small two-light casement window with a wooden lintel located at mezzanine level between them. In the right bay, there is a two-light casement window in a brick surround with an arched head, and a similar three-light casement window is found in the second bay from the right. A 20th-century dormer window is also present. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have a set of chamfered beams in the ground floor room.
