Description

This is a 17th-century house located on the south side of Kilsby Main Road. A datestone reading 1656/RE is visible on the right side of the building. The house is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a thatched roof and brick stacks. It follows a lobby-entry plan and is two storeys and an attic in height, with four bays. The doorway, situated in the second bay from the right, has a timber lintel, a six-panel part-glazed door, and a thatched timber hood, flanked by stone buttresses. A four-light stone-mullioned window with a flat moulded stone hood is on the right; two similar windows are to the left. Four-light stone-mullioned windows without hoods are on the first floor. The interior, which has not been inspected, is said to contain stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops in the ground floor rooms.
