Description

This headstone, dating from around 1700, is located approximately 2 meters south of the east corner of the south aisle of the Church of St. Mary in Culworth. Made of ironstone, it features an oval inscription plaque that is flanked by scrolls and topped with an oval cartouche, cherub's heads, and draperies. There is no inscription on the headstone. It is included in the listing for its group value.
