Description
Mouse Corner is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The original gabled bay on the left is constructed from coursed squared limestone with ironstone quoins, while the later additions to the right are made of brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features brick stacks. The cottage has two storeys and an attic, with two bays. The entrance, located in the second bay from the left, has a wooden lintel and a plank door. To the left of the entrance is a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel, and a similar window is found to the right. On the first floor, there are two two-light casement windows with wooden lintels, and another two-light casement window is located in the attic. The roofline has been altered and raised in brick during the 20th century. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered spine beams. It is included for its group value.
